Thomas A. Spiess

May 7, 1948 - March 16, 2018

 

 

Tom was a driving force behind many programs and projects that benefitted our community but none more visible than the Fayette Opera House. His vision, ingenuity and hard work brought the Opera House back to life as a center of cultural and community activity.

 

His passion and persistance were leavened with humor.  His determination and drive tempered with generosity and compassion.  He found value in people who were often disregarded - identifying talents and capabitlies and engaging them in his latest scheme or project. 

 

Tom is, and will be, sorely missed but fondly remembered as the Opera House continues to be a vibrant part of our community.
